ASA homepage - "The Amateur Swimming Association is the English national governing body for swimming, diving, water polo, open water, and synchronised swimming. It organises competition throughout England, establishes the laws of the sport and operates comprehensive certification and education programmes for teachers, coaches and officials as well as its renowned Learn To Swim Awards scheme. Yorkshire Swimming Association - "The Yorkshire Swimming Association (YSA) is the principal organising and regulatory body for aquatic sport in the County. On 18th October 2003 the area was extended to include the administrative areas of North and North East Lincolnshire. YSA looks after the interest of swimmers, divers, synchronized swimmers, and water polo athletes. All Aquatic Clubs in the geographic area must affiliate to (and observe the laws of) the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA), and Clubs in the county do this by affiliating to the North Eastern Region of the ASA (ASA NER)."
